PACKET PICK-UP
All participants are required to pick up their race packets at the Race Expo which is free and open to the public. Participants will pick up their race bib, event shirt, race tote bag, and other goodies.

10-Miler, 10K & 5K participants are required to pick up their race bib during Packet Pick-up unless you have pre-purchased race day packet pick-up. Sorry, there is no Gear Check available for the Beach Mile. Participants may pick up their race visor after the race.
There are no awards for the top finishers of the Beach Mile, however every finisher will receive a finisher medal upon completion of the race!
Participants who join us for the Beach Mile, and any distance on Sunday, will receive an additional medal, the Hang 10 Challege Medal! Don’t forget to pick up your special medal on Sunday at the Hang 10 Booth!
All Beach Mile participants, 21 years of age and older, will receive a complimentary beverage in the Michelob ULTRA Beer Garden after their race. Participants can choose from Michelob ULTRA, ULTRA Zero, ULTRA Seltzer, or Kona Big Wave beer. Additional beers will be available for purchase for $5 with all proceeds supporting Ainsley’s Angels.
There are multiple parking lots within easy walking distance of the start/finish line of the Beach Mile. The suggested parking lots are listed below. Parking rates are subject to change at any time and are set by individual lot operators, not the race organizers.

Opens at 5:30am – All items must be picked up before 10:30am
Gear Check will be available for all Sunday participants. Gear Check will be in the parking lots adjacent to Huntington Beach Pier Plaza, just below the Race Expo. Gear Check will remain in the same location throughout the duration of the race.
Clear gear check bags will be provided at bib pick-up. All items must be placed in this clear bag.
Please find the locations of the aid stations along each of the three courses listed below. Water and Gatorade (Lemon Lime) electrolytes will be provided at the stations listed below.
10 Miler
Stations: Miles 2.2, 4, 6.1, 7.8, 8.9
10K
Stations: Miles 2.2, 4. 5.1
5K
Stations: Mile 2
Honey Stinger Energy Chews (Fruit Smoothie and Citrus Splash) will also be provided on the 10 Miler course at the aid station at Mile 6.1.
10 Miler: Pace groups from A Snail’s Pace will be available with the following minutes per mile pace times:
7:00, 7:30, 8:00, 8:30, 9:00, 9:30, 10:00, 10:30, 11:00, 11:30, and 12:00.
5K All 5K participants must complete the race in under 75 minutes.
10K All 10K participants must complete the race in under 2 hours.
10 Miler All 10 Miler participants must finish the race in under 3 hours to stay on closed streets.
*Participants falling behind these paces will be moved ahead by race staff to finish the race.
Overall: The top 3 male and female finishers will receive an overall award.
Age Group: Top 3 Male and Female finishers in each age group will receive an award
If you place 1st in your age group, you will receive additional information on how to receive your age group award towards the end of September. If you place 2nd or 3rd in your age group, your award will be shipped upon request, by emailing: info@surfcity10.com.

Getting to the start
Reminder: Make sure you leave ample time to get to the start on race day morning.
Anticipate heavy traffic and be aware of road closures including Pacific Coast Highway (PCH) which will be closed from Warner Ave to Beach Blvd. Multiple parking lots are available near the Start/Finish Lines. Please plan accordingly, noting that those participating in the 10K and 5K might need to plan to park slightly further if parking closer to the Start/Finish Line has filled up

Bike Parking will not be provided on race day at Huntington Beach Pier Plaza however, participants planning on riding their bicycles are welcome to use bike racks found along the beach path or in Downtown Huntington Beach. Please do not lock your bike on the bike rack that forms the start and finish chutes on Pacific Coast Highway.

Post-Race FAQ'S
Those that are 21 years of age and older and plan on visiting the Beer Garden must present their ID at the ID check tent to obtain a wristband prior to entering the beer garden. Per the rules of our event permit, you must pick up your wristband on the day you plan to enter the beer garden – you cannot pick up a wristband on Saturday to be used on Sunday.
Additional beverages can be purchased in the Beer Garden for $5 with proceeds going to Ainsley's Angels to support their quest to build awareness about the importance of inclusion, through action, while transforming populations into all-inclusive communities.
To continue our support of Ainsley’s Angels, participants will only be able to collect one complimentary beer on Saturday and/or Sunday and will not be able to combine beers to collect more than (1) complimentary beer on either day. Per the rules of our event permit, patrons in the Beer Garden will be limited to a maximum of 3 beverages per day.
