Getting to the Race Expo
PARKING INFO
The Pike Outlets Garage charges an hourly rate for parking and is a 12-15 minute walk to the Expo entrance.
The Long Beach Arena Parking Lot charges a flat rate of $15 for entry and is a 5-8 minute walk to the Expo entrance.
Packet Pick-Up FAQS
In order to expedite the pick-up of your race bib, please bring your ID and bib# confirmation email. Confirmation emails will be sent Wednesday/Thursday of race week.
Yes, please send your proxy with a copy of driver's license (digital picture is OK) and your confirmation email to expedite the pick-up process.
Confirmation emails are sent the day before the Race Expo. Proxies may only pick up packets for up to 3 people.
Yes, you may switch down in distance, if there is still capacity. Please visit the Registration Solutions tent at the Race Expo to make this request. Participants cannot move “up” in distance, no exceptions.

5K FAQS
Aquarium of the Pacific 5K participants are strongly encouraged to join us at the Race Expo on Friday to pick up their race packet and avoid long lines at the 5K start. Race Expo hours on Friday are from 12:00pm – 6:00pm in Marina Green Park.
5K participants can pick up their race packet on Saturday morning prior to the 5K race start from 5:15am — 6:30am. The Packet Pick-Up tents will be located in front of the Aquarium of the Pacific.
The race will start at 6:50am, please plan accordingly to have enough time to get your race packet.

*To avoid traffic congestion on Shoreline Drive coming from the 710-S freeway, participants are encouraged to exit the 710-S at 6th Street and use Magnolia Ave to W Seaside Way to access the Pike Outlets Parking Garage.
*Participants can also avoid traffic by using the Vincent Thomas Bridge via 110-S to access CA-47 N/Seaside Freeway and exiting Downtown. From there, participants can use Magnolia Ave to W Seaside Way to access the Pike Outlets Parking Garage.
Please note: the race does not validate parking. All parking rates are set by parking lot operators, not the race organizers.
A water station and portable restrooms will be provided on course at Mile 1.5.
Gear check is NOT available at this race. The Aquarium of the Pacific and Pike Outlets parking garages are adjacent to the start of the race and a short walk if you need to leave any items in your vehicle.
Participants may pick up their race shirt after completing their race.
The 5K has a course time limit of 1.5 hours, which begins when the last runner crosses the start line. The event will utilize a wave start to alleviate course crowding and ensure a safer running experience. Due to the nature of the event, if a participant falls behind the established pace time, they may be asked to join the sweep vehicle to be moved ahead on course.
The overall top 3 male and female finishers in the Aquarium of the Pacific 5K will receive a prize.
The top 3 male and female finishers in each age group in the 5K will receive an award.

Awards must be picked up on-site from the AWARDS table in front of the Aquarium of the Pacific. Awards will not be mailed post-race.All 5K participants will have special access and pricing to the Aquarium of the Pacific after the race:
Adult 5K participants will have the opportunity to enter the Aquarium of the Pacific right after their race between the hours of 9:30am-12:00pm on October 4, 2025, for just $29.95.
Child 5K participants (11 years old and under) can enter the Aquarium of the Pacific right after their race between the hours of 9:30am-12:00pm, for just $9.95. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Please look for your estimated finish time and self-seed yourself in the appropriate corral. Look for the white corral flags on race day for the entrance into your corral.

Race Day VIP perks include private gear check, private restrooms, morning refreshments, a boxed lunch, and additional complimentary beverages.

BIKE TOUR FAQS
Participants participating in the Bike Tour are eligible to use the Bike Corral to store their gear or belongings during the Bike Tour. Those that are participating in both the Bike Tour and the Half Marathon will be able to store their running gear in the Bike Corral during the Bike Tour and subsequently their bike and bike gear during the Half Marathon.
The entrance to the Bike Corral can be found in the Long Beach Arena parking lot. While the bike corral is manned with security during the race, please use discretion when leaving items during your race. Participants are also able to use the Gear Check storage on Marina Green.
All athletes participating in the Bike Tour & Half Marathon must start the Half Marathon no later than 7:30am. Please plan accordingly.
All Bike Tour participants are to adhere to the following rules when participating in the Bike Tour:
The use of safety helmets is mandatory – NO EXCEPTIONS
It is still dark at the start of the Bike Tour and all riders are encouraged to bring a working bike light.
Only one person per bike unless the bike is specifically designed as a tandem
The use of noise-cancelling headphones is prohibited in the Bike Tour
Electric bikes of all forms and/or motorized bikes are strictly prohibited

Driving Directions and Getting Dropped Off
The best place to get dropped off on race morning is near the intersection of Ocean Blvd and Linden Ave.
For rideshare, use this address: 448 E Ocean Blvd, Long Beach, CA.
Participants can then walk down Linden Ave and cut through the Long Beach Arena parking lot to access Marina Green and the start line on E Shoreline Drive.
From Los Angeles
Take the San Diego Freeway (405) south and exit at Pacific Avenue, Long Beach Boulevard, or Atlantic Avenue.
Turn right and head toward Downtown Long Beach on any of these streets to reach the designated parking areas.
Take the San Diego Freeway (405) north and exit Long Beach Boulevard, or Atlantic Avenue.
Turn left and head toward Downtown Long Beach on either of these streets toward any of the parking areas.
Take the Long Beach Freeway (710) south and exit at 6th Street. Take 6th Street to Magnolia Ave or Pine Avenue and make a right to access the parking areas.
Or exit at Broadway. Take Broadway toward Pine Ave to access the parking areas.

Public Transportation
Take the Los Angeles Metro’s A-Line from Los Angeles to the 1st Street Station in Downtown Long Beach.
Riders will be dropped off at 1st Street and Long Beach Blvd in Downtown Long Beach — just a short 13-minute walk to Marina Green (start line).

Participants 21 years of age or older can make plans to join us in the Michelob ULTRA Beer Garden to enjoy music, great weather and camaraderie.
Race finishers can redeem their complimentary Michelob ULTRA or Michelob ULTRA Seltzer in the Beer Garden. Additional beverages can be purchased for $6 with proceeds going to the Long Beach Century Club, an organization dedicated to the support of amateur athletics in the city of Long Beach, CA.

Teams with 10+ members in 2025 will be eligible to reserve a 10×10 space in the Teams Village GA on Sunday, RSVPs are requested. You will be able to bring pop-up tents and use this space as you see fit (gathering space, recovery zone, etc).
For those with 40+ members or purchased the upgrade, you will be in the
SUPER Teams Village space. Captains will be receiving direct communications from the Teams Manager regarding their invite. Please look for specific communications to your team captain if you are eligible to set up a tent and reserve a space.

CHALLENGES & LOYALTY PROGRAMS
Beach Bum Loyalty status is reached after running the marathon or half marathon distance at Long Beach Marathon for three consecutive years (in person or virtual). Runners can achieve Beach Bum status by running any combination of either distance if they are run consecutively. If the runner misses a year, they default on their loyalty status.
Beach Bum loyalty status will be denoted on your race bib. If you’re eligible, don’t forget to pick up your special-edition Beach Bum shirt from the Beach Bum t-shirt tables at the Race Expo. Beach Bums are also eligible to receive a second, complimentary beverage in the Michelob ULTRA Beer Garden after the race on Sunday.
Beach Bums will have the BEACH BUM box on their Sunday race bib denoted with a marking to collect their loyalty perks. If you are a Beach Bum runner, but do not have the BEACH BUM designation, please visit the Solutions Tent in the Bib Pick-Up area and our team will be able to assist you.Participants that complete two races over Long Beach Marathon weekend are eligible to earn a Combo Award. The following combination of events are eligible for the "Combo Award".

Those participating in two races over race weekend will have the COMBO box on their Sunday race bib denoted with a marking. If you are participating in two races but do not have the “COMBO” designation, please visit the Solutions tent at the Race Expo with your bibs and our team will be able to give you a COMBO sticker.
Participants completing the Long Beach Combo challenge can pick up their Combo award on Sunday after completing their race. Look for the Awards & Medals signs to be directed to the pick-up tent.
The Beach Cities Challenge is a participation challenge involving the Surf City Marathon, Long Beach Marathon, and OC Marathon events. Participants that complete these races consecutively are eligible to collect an additional medal after finishing their race. Participants must have completed the following races to be eligible to complete the Beach Cities Challenge at this race:
• 2025 Surf City Marathon – Half Marathon or Marathon
• 2025 Hoag OC Marathon Running Festival – Half Marathon or Marathon

Participants completing the Beach Cities Challenge will be able to pick-up their BCC medal on Sunday after completing their race on the west side of Marina Green. Look for the Awards & Medals signs to be directed to the pick-up tent.
Those that are participating in the Golden State Challenge will receive an email with further information regarding the Golden State Challenge Lounge and where to pick up your prizes! You must have completed one or more events below in the 2025 season to be eligible for Golden State Challenge prizes:

GOLDEN STATE CHALLENGE
Participants that are completing their fourth Golden State Challenge race are eligible to pick-up their challenge medal at Long Beach Marathon. Eligible participants will receive an email with further instructions and can pick-up their medal at the Golden State Challenge tent in Race Expo.
To be eligible for the Golden State Challenge medal participants must have already completed a 5K or longer distance at (4) of the following events: Surf City Marathon, Santa Barbara Wine Country Half Marathon, Bay to Breakers, Napa to Sonoma Wine Country Half Marathon, and/or Surf City 10.


BEACH CITIES CHALLENGE
The Beach Cities Challenge is a participation challenge involving the Surf City Marathon presented by 361°, Long Beach Marathon, and OC Marathon events. Participants that complete these races consecutively are eligible to collect an additional medal after finishing their race. Participants must have completed the following races (in person or virtually) to be eligible to complete the Beach Cities Challenge at this race.
